Willow Cuttings
Sometimes it seems the beauty of the willow is overlooked in floral design, but we’ve always been fans. We are excited to offer several varieties of willow cuttings gathered right here on the farm for you to root at home. We ship all our willow varieties in bundles of ten cuttings at a flat rate. You can also choose to pick-up your order at the farm.
‘Scarlet Curls’ (Salix babylonica) is of course known for its gorgeous, orange-to-red winding branches. It grows up to 5’ in one season and can be grown in dry or moist conditions. Coppicing and Pollarding encourages more stems of smaller diameter, perfect for floral arrangements and wreath making.
‘Golden Curls’ Willow (Salix babylonica) shows off gorgeous golden to chartreuse curly branches. It grows up to 5’ in one season and can be grown in dry or moist conditions. Coppicing and Pollarding encourage more stems of smaller diameter, perfect for floral arrangements and wreath making.
'Blue Streaks' (Salix acutifolia) is a male clone of a Russian and Polish native willow. Pointed, silvery-white catkins appear in early Spring. This variety can handle pollarding and prefers wet/moist conditions, but not saturated. It provides beautiful yellow foliage in Autumn.
‘Fantail Willow - Sekka' (Salix udensis) is a truly unique variety. It is known for its curly, trusted, fasciated stems. Its stems produce small, silvery catkins in the late winter. Used as a fresh cut and also great for drying! Note: not all stems will be fasciated on each shrub, once established.
‘Flame Willow’ (Salix fragilis) is a stunning and fast-growing plant. It presents vibrant yellow to red stems. Excellent early and late season cut stem. Tolerant of very wet soils. Flame is also a great willow for weaving!
